Everyone knows Miami Beach is the home of the $18 cocktail, but if you venture just south of Fifth, you’ll find a spot where the floors are dirty, the drinks are affordable, and the people… well, let’s just say they’re not spit-smoothing their cowlicks every 30 seconds. Love Hate Lounge is undoubtedly one of the few clubs where “no cover, no dress code, no bullshit” is truly lived. If you’ve spent the weekend getting dolled up and shaking your bonbon for European tourists, on Monday nights, DJ Epps of G-Unit/Shadyville DJs will bring you back to reality with the Pussycat Lounge. From 10 p.m. until your butt falls off (OK, 5 a.m.), he’ll spin the latest and greatest in hip-hop and R&B while the bar serves you special drinks — AKA cocktails with recession-friendly prices.
