You might remember David Brenner from one of his appearances on The Tonight Show. The comedian made his national TV debut on the show, and he returned 157 times, more than any other guest in the show’s history. Maybe you’ve seen one of his HBO specials or read one of his five books. His most recent book, I Think There’s a Terrorist in My Soup, teaches readers how to use humor to get through their problems. You might have also seen one of the 76-year-old jokester’s 100-plus made-for-TV documentaries, which have led to several awards, including an Emmy, or heard his political commentary on Fox and CNN. And even if you missed all of that, you can catch the Philadelphia native in A Night of Comedy With David Brenner at the Robert Russell Theater at the Alper JCC Thursday.
