Originally the brainchild of Berlin tech-house veterans M.A.N.D.Y., Booka Shade, and DJ T., Get Physical Music has been going strong for a full decade. In fact, Winter Music Conference 2012 marks the label’s tenth anniversary, as well as its return to Miami for yet another highly anticipated annual showcase. But it also marks a new chapter for Get Physical.
“After Booka Shade and DJ T. left the label one and a half years ago, it was time to restructure everything and put the label on solid feet again,” M.A.N.D.Y.’s Philipp Jung says. And though a ten-year anniversary might call for an over-the-top celebration, the crew is keeping this an intimate affair. “We decided to go smaller and more intimate again — it’s just more fun and more direct,” Jung explains. “I am very happy about the DJs we have on board too.
“Matthew Dear and I are performing for the first time outside NYC as our M.A.N.D.E.A.R. project, alongside Francis Harris, Mr. C, DJ T., Tim Green, Catz ‘N Dogz, Boris Werner, Shinedoe, and my dear friends from Audiofly.
“People can be ready to hear some very nice and diverse sets,” he adds. “We are planning a back-to-back night with all the DJs teaming up to create something new and special.”
