If the Denver Nuggets seem eerily familiar to Miami Heat fans, it’s because half the team used to play for the New York Knicks. Just shy of a month ago, the Nuggets traded star forward Carmelo Anthony to New York in exchange for a bounty of good, but not great, players who had been hailed for re-energizing basketball in New York. Well, Anthony’s arrival showed what re-energizing really means, but nonetheless the erstwhile Knicks have helped fuel a Nuggets team that has played well now that As Carmelo Turns has gone off the air. With the Anthony-led Knicks having shockingly beat the Heat in their first matchup, LeBron, Dwyane, and friends might feel the need to take some of their frustration out on the team that placed a rather large obstacle in the Heat’s path to a championship. The reunion will begin Saturday night at the American Airlines Arena.
