Rio de Janeiro’s the Twelves have been called Brazil’s answer to Daft Punk. That assertion might be a little too far fetched, but there is no denying they are a talented duo both behind the decks and in the studio. As remixers, they instantly got everyone’s attention when they reworked M.I.A.’s “Boyz” into a slower and sexier romp. After that they’ve remixed artists like Radiohead, La Roux, Kylie Minogue, Fever Ray, and more.
Basically, you’ve probably dance to remix by the Twelves and not realized it. So for your enjoyment, after the jump, check out our picks of the top five remixes by the duo. If you like what you hear, they’ll be at Vagabond this Saturday for Back Door Bamby. Tickets are $10 via Wantickets.com; doors open at 10 p.m.
