Greg Economos, senior vice president of Sony Pictures Consumer Products, is excited about the doughnuts, noting that “both brands have an incredible legacy with consumers and with exclusive donuts at Krispy Kreme locations and a retail promotion featuring the Blu-ray offering, we are confident everyone’s proton packs will be loaded.”
The doughnuts come in two spooky/sweet varieties, each filled with marshmallow kreme, of course.
The Ghostbusters doughnut features a marshmallow Kreme-filled shell, topped with white icing, a decorative green “splat” inspired by Slimer, and a sugar Ghostbusters logo.
The Stay Puft Marshmallow is a marshmallow Kreme-filled shell topped with white icing, decorated with Stay Puft Marshmallow Man’s face and a sugar hat.
The special Ghostbusters doughnuts are available at participating Krispy Kreme shops, while supplies last, starting September 29, but starting today, you can pre-order a minimum of five dozen of the Zuul-lovin’ pastries at your local Krispy Kreme location. Now, who ya gonna call?
