Miami’s hottest new barbecue joint is Brother Jimmy’s BBQ in Brickell. New Times‘ food blog, Short Order, seems to love it, and it’s owned by three former Miami Hurricanes players, including Jonathan Vilma. Everyone is welcome to try a bit of their Carolina-style barbecue. Everyone, that is, except NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

The signs are posted on all of the restaurant’s front windows and throughout the interior, according to Yahoo!

Vilma owns the place along with D.J. Williams (Denver Broncos), Jon Beason (Carolina Panthers), and sports PR guru Ron Berkowitz.

Vilma has a lot of time to devote to the restaurant this year, considering he’s sitting out the season. He got caught up in the New Orleans Saints’ Bountygate (because, of course, a former Hurricane was involved), and Goodell handed him one of the stiffest penalties in NFL history. Vilma has since retaliated with a slander lawsuit against Goodell and, well, his message at Brother Jimmy’s BBQ.

$30,000

We think Goodell will survive. He consumes only the tears of players and his own bullshit anyway. If anything, it will only make him stronger.
