Marcelo Cicuta said he recently turned down a $30,000 offer for his award-winning French bulldog. But when Cicuta returned to his home, he found the dog and 15 of its newborn puppies gone.

Cicuta said he went to a friend’s home to celebrate New Year’s Eve, and when he returned to his house on NW 47th Terrace in Buena Vista, he found that the bulldog — “Che” — and 15 puppies were missing and that a window in the back of the home had been broken. Other valuables, including cash and electronics, were left untouched. The only other thing missing was a pillowcase from his mother’s bedroom. Cicuta believes the thief stuffed the puppies into the pillowcase.

The puppies, which come from two litters, are only between two and four weeks old. The thief didn’t bother to take the mother, so the puppies’ lives could be in jeopardy.

“Only take the best one. El Che, only take that dog and the puppies,” Cicuta told WSVN.
