Forget Birdman’s $2 million bet on the Heat in the 2011 finals. It’s got nothing on Floyd Mayweather’s $5.9 million bet on the team tonight. Well, at least if a single tweet is to be believed.
Who knows how legit it is, but Mayweather is a big-time better who likes to post pics of his winning tickets on Twitter. Though, he’s usually not throwing this much money around.
Perhaps adding more credence to the rumor is the fact that Mayweather was in town this weekend hosting a cash-themed party at Cameo nightclub on Saturday.

So, who knows, but if true Mayweather is placing a lot of faith in the Heat. He’s not only hoping the team squeaks by, but wins by a healthy margin.
Of course, what’s $5.9 million to the highest-paid athlete in the world? He’s expected to make at least $90 million this year (gambling winnings not included).
