The photo is of Norman Van Aken and Malcolm Berg, Architect and Principal of EoA, Inc., who designed the upcoming Norman’s 180. The steel panel they are scrutinizing is laser-etched with one of some twenty Normanisms (my word, not theirs) that will be backlit around the back bar.
The restaurant is being touted as “an intriguing, highly customized, idiosyncratic space” that is “rustically handmade to reflect the farm-to-table spirit of the food.” For instance, each light fixture is hand-blown glass, including the one that Berg is holding in the photo after the jump. We’ve also got a blueprint rendering of the dining room and outdoor tables.
So if you were wondering what Norman’s 180 will look like, now you know.
BTW — Should be open in a few weeks.
