From October to early May we get our produce delivered weekly through a co-op CSA program at Green Cay Farms in Boynton Beach (they may already be subscribed for the coming season, but you can contact them at kes@bellsouth.net). But off season or for fill-ins we occasionally order from Delicious Organics in Miami. Believe it or not, they’ve recently resumed delivery all the way up to Jupiter in Palm Beach County, and they’ve also cut their minimum order to a measly $50, AND dispensed with the $5 surcharge for orders under $100. Not only do they have an excellent selection of local, organic vegetables, and free range and humanely raised meat — but bakery goods, tea and coffee, just about anything a health nut could ask for. I don’t know if the program saves on fuel in the long run, but it sure lowers MY gas costs.
Note: Bee Heaven Farm in Redland also offers a CSA program from November to March, but you have to pick up.
