The Jacuzzi Boys just turned six. And they’re celebrating with a big new batch of awesomely fuzzy jangle punk ditties.
“We came together in early 2007,” the Jacuzzis’ drummer, Diego Monasterios, once told Crossfade, “when my and Gabriel’s other shitty band wasn’t working out.”
Now, after 2,000-plus days together, two full-length slabs (2009’s No Seasons and 2011’s Glazin’), and endorsements from such total legends of weirdo rock tuneage as James “Iggy Pop” Osterberg Jr. (“It’s a stupid name, but they’ve got a good spirit“) … The JBs are most definitely “working out.”
And this fall, Diego, bass guy Danny Gonzalez, and singer-guitarist Gabriel Alcala will be dropping their third LP.

Recorded at the Key Club Recording Co. in Benton Harbor, Michigan (just like the JBs’ last album, Glazin’), this 11-song S/T collection will be released via Seattle-based indie label Hardy Art (also just like Glazin’).
So far, Diego, Danny, Gabriel, and Hardly Art have offered sneak peeks of only two Jacuzzi Boys tracks: “Domino Moon” and “Double Vision,” which as Alcala tells Rolling Stone, was made possible by leaving “the liquor store with all the ingredients to make tequila sunrises.”
The whole shebang hits streets on September 10. So shake your fruits. Scratch up some pre-order pennies. And as the JBs might say: “Get Jelly!”
