A man was left stripped of his clothes with a bullet in his stomach early this morning in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood after being approached by two unknown men. His girlfriend, who was with him at the time, was able to escape and get help.
According to NBC Miami, the incident happened around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Biscayne Boulevard and NE 31st Street. The couple was sitting in a car when they were approached by two men. The assailants demanded that the couple take their clothes off and hand over their money.
“The guy resisted because he didn’t want them to hurt the lady,” witness Willie Troutman told WSVN. “So they told him to lay on his stomach; he took his clothes off trying to find the car keys. They threw his clothes in the water and shot him one time in the stomach.”
After shooting the man, the gunmen took off. The girlfriend then went to the nearby Walgreens to get help.
