A common purse snatcher in Homestead has managed to give purse snatchers an even worse name. The suspect allegedly grabbed a woman’s purse while she was pumping gas at a station in Homestead. When the woman fought back, he pulled out a gun. The woman still somehow got her purse back, but the suspect then ran over her as he made his getaway.

The incident happened this morning around 10:30 at a Sunoco station near the intersection of South Dixie Highway and SW 308th Street. Here’s raw surveillance video from NBC Miami.

The suspect is a 20-something Hispanic male with a slim build, short-cropped hair, and goatee. His vehicle is a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
