46. Lasagna di Pesce at Mai Tardi
Normally we would not condone the combination of seafood and baked cheese, but in the case of Mai Tardi‘s “lasagna di pesce,” ($18) it truly works perfectly. Layers of chewy noodles are slathered with fresh ricotta and parmesan, and hidden between these layers are the crustaceans. Each bite has a seafood surprise – bay scallops, squid, shrimp, mussels and clams. The real story is the sauce. A creamy lobster infused wonderment with fresh dill, that tastes like someone poured a rich bisque over your lasagna. Order this dish despite all reservations. You’ll never look back.
