Concourse F at Miami International Airport was evacuated around 3 p.m. due to a suspicious package found at a security checkpoint in the terminal that handles international flights. The bomb squad was called in to evaluate the package. Updated: The terminal has been reopened.
Passengers who were evacuated have been allowed to return to the concourse, according to NBCMiami’s Twitter feed. Meanwhile, the Miami Herald has reported nothing. The evacuation comes just a day after a bomb threat called into a nearby hotel caused an evacuation.
