Basketball star turned professional mouth Charles Barkley has emerged as the preeminent Miami Heat hater of our times, and LeBron James for one has had enough.
James told Barkley to “shut up” point blank after the TNT analyst took shots at Dwyane Wade’s athletic ability.
“He’s starting to lose his athletic ability,” Barkley said on TNT after Wade only scored 13 points during the Heat’s loss to the New York Knicks last week. “He’s not the same guy. I got a look at him in person. He doesn’t explode anymore, and he’s shooting a lot of fade away jumpers.”
Wade turned around and gave the physical equivalent of a “Shut the fuck up, Chuck” by shooting 26 points against the Hawks last night. James decided to defend his teammate by making that point verbal.

“It means Charles Barkley needs to shut up,” James told reporters when asked about Wade’s performance. “I mean, the man [Wade] is shooting 80 percent from the floor the last couple of games. That’s like, crazy, right? That’s why he is who he is. Unbelievable.”
Of course, telling Barkley to shut up is sort of like telling the Earth to stop spinning. It’s not going to happen. The man will keep blabbering until the man takes his final breath. His last words will almost assuredly be some sort of dig at the Miami Heat.
