Two people, including pregnant business owner Celeste Gaitan, were killed today after an SUV apparently lost control and slammed through the wall of a Kendall clothing boutique. The incident happened at Gaitan’s store, Celeste & Co. Boutique, at 13357 SW 42nd St., around noon.

Few details are available, but CBS Miami reports that a male driver was behind the wheel with a female passenger, possibly his wife. Neither was seriously injured.

However, the impact instantly killed one customer, believed to be a female in her 20s. The woman was thought to have been sitting with the other victim, Gaitan, on a bench outside the salon.

Gaitan, who was six months pregnant, was transported to Kendall Regional Medical Center before being pronounced dead. Doctors were unable to save the fetus.
