The proper word to describe Pharrell Williams’ Miami apartment is, I believe, something like “banonkers.” But what do you expect from the guy who co-produced some of the most adventurous, mind-melting pop hits of the first half of the last decade? The Selby takes an exclusive look inside of Pharrell’s Miami pad and finds some Louis Vuitton, Murakami, and just tons and tons of KAWS. Just so much KAWS.
This picture is pretty much the money shot. We’re not even sure what’s going on here architecturally, really. It’s verging on Escher. We can however make sense of the work of Brooklyn artist KAWS. He’s famous for his boneheaded subversion of popular culture. Those are his takes on Family Guy characters, and his sculpture off to the side. Pharrell’s also got the Karl Lagerfeld-designed 1000% Chanel Bearbrick, a statue of the Bape mascot, and a copy of that undeniably sexy chair he helped design. So much swag here. Too much?
Do yourself a favor and check out the rest of his pad at The Selby. You can also pick up a copy of Todd Selby’s book of similarly amazing interiors here.
