Yesterday, Honest Tea, a beverage brand owned partially by Coca-Cola, set up kiosks across 12 cities in America stocked with chilled bottles of its iced tea. Though, instead of an actual cashier, the company only placed a clear plastic box near the center with a sign asking for a dollar in exchange for the drink. Hidden video cameras were then set up to determine how honest people actually were. Ninety-two percent of Miamians paid for their drink. Which sounds good but is actually near the bottom of the spectrum.
Here’s the honesty percentage of all 12 cities: City Percentage Chicago 99 Boston 97 Seattle 97 Dallas 97 Atlanta 96 Philadelphia 96 Cincinnati 95 San Francisco 93 Miami 92 Washington, D.C. 91 Los Angeles 88 New York 86
