The Miami-Dade Robbery Bureau are still searching for the man who stole a purse with $15,000 worth of jewelry and cash from a woman at a car rental establishment on Sunday afternoon.
Police said, the victim’s husband entered the rental office at approximately 3 p.m. to exchange the vehicle while she waited outside at 2301 NW 23rd Avenue. While she was waiting, a black male in his 30’s and approximately 240 pounds, approached her and a struggle ensued over her purse. He finally snatched it and fled to a light green Pontiac with dark tinted windows.
The Pontiac has partial tag of “511.” The attacker is described to have a groomed beard and front upper gold teeth. He was wearing black shorts, a white t-shirt, black with white trim Converse shoes, and a black hat at the time of the incident.
Police urge anyone with information regarding this incident to call CrimeStoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
