The confusion occurred as votes for each coffeehouse were visible on Krups’ Facebook page after voting ending. It seemed Tinta y Café had won by one vote. When Krups announced on its Facebook page that the winner was Eternity Coffee Roasters, a user commented that there had been an error.
Krups replied, “The write-in votes brought Eternity Coffee Roasters slightly over the competition to the top slot in Miami.” Krups removed the vote tally from the page this week but did not update it with the final scores.
