Strap on those helmets, boys — it’s dress rehearsal time for the Miami Dolphins. Today’s preseason matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will give football fans what they’ve been fiending for. The third game of the NFL preseason is typically when each team’s starters will see an increase in playing time in preparation for the upcoming regular season. Many of the Dolphins’ concerns for 2007 start on the offensive side of the ball, where new head coach Cam Cameron is trying to work some of the magic he employed when he was offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers.

The Dolphins coaching staff will be closely evaluating the progress on offense as the veteran acquisition at quarterback, Trent Green, adapts to his new surroundings. Coming off a concussion-plagued season with the Kansas City Chiefs, Green is being looked upon to stabilize the Fins’ QB position. Root for the home team tonight at 7:30 at Dolphin Stadium.
