Stuffed with turkey and tired of chasing sales on Black Friday? Why not spend the evening reveling in a good, old-fashioned reckoning, Miami Heat-style. That’s what the holidays are all about! Because pretty much everyone in the nation outside Miami has come to loathe the Heat as they abhor ruthless dictators and people who work at the DMV. The hatred is mostly toward LeBron James and his decision to join forces with Dwyane Wade. Sure, guys such as Kevin Garnett, a dude who called an opposing player a “cancer patient” during a recent bout of trash talk, are more deserving of vitriol. But, no, let’s reserve the real grudge for a guy who decided to work somewhere else when he finished his contractual obligations. That guy is the real jerk! So when the Heat stumbled out of the gate, the entire country rooted for the team’s demise, while the mainstream media called the players gutless and soft. That’s fine. Haters gonna hate. But keep in mind, once James, Wade, and Chris Bosh find their game, there’s going to be a reckoning. Payback begins this Friday at the American Airlines Arena, where the Heat will host the Philadelphia 76ers.
