And now fashionistas can see the islands’ freshest styles at the Haiti Art and Fashion Showcase. “Haitian style is very colorful and bright. Each line has its own unique look,” explains event organizer Kathleen Barreau. The coolest threads from Kompas Jeans, The Maroons, Underscore, and Labissiere Dezign will be featured. Paintings, spoken-word poetry performances, and live music will add to the artistic vibe. Kick off Haitian Cultural Month in style today.
