Live pigeons are no longer used as targets, but the sport of trapshooting hasn’t changed too much since the late 1700s. If you have never tried it, you can give it a shot at tonight’s Shooter Clinic. Learn more about the rules of the sport, shotgun safety, technique, and field etiquette, all while working out your aggressions on helpless clay pigeons. So what’s the difference between trap and skeet? Trap shoots from one house, whereas skeet uses two (visit www.trapandskeet.org/faq.htm for more details). Hit ´em with your best shot at 7:00 at the Trail Glades Gun Range. Admission is free, but there is a charge for shotgun rental, trap rounds, shells, and protection. Call 305-226-1823, or visit www.miamidade.gov/parks/sports/gunrange.asp.
