Despite the news that Nike Inc. sold the United Soccer League to a group from Atlanta, Miami FC is still going strong, and so is its challenge to the fans. Here’s the deal: For every 500 tickets sold to Saturday’s regular-season finale featuring your Miami FC versus the Puerto Rico Islanders, one FC member will shave his head. It won’t be any high ’n’ tight either — we’re talking foam ’n’ razor bald. And with speed in soccer at a premium, the team needs all the aerodynamic players it can get. One extra baldhead could mean a full step on a game-changing breakaway. Catch the soon-to-be hairless football stars at Lockhart Stadium at 8 p.m., and if you must, wear your Halloween Hare Krishna outfit. Tickets cost $12 for adults, $7 for kids.
