It’s still very early, but it seems like this is going to be an up-and-down season for the Miami Heat. Sure, the team is replete with talent (Dwyane Wade, Michael Beasley, Shawn Marion), but it is lacking an experienced ball-handling point guard, has no real center, and includes too many forwards.
So far, rookie Beasley has been as solid as you’d expect, and D-Wade remains the man on this team. The question is what to make of Marion. He doesn’t look to be in the Heat’s long-term plans and his play has been decent but sporadic. Pat Riley has made it no secret he’d like to have Bosh in 2010. Maybe when the Toronto Raptors come to town Wednesday night to play at the American Airlines Arena, Wade can talk Bosh into a visit. Tip-off is at 7:30. Tickets range from $10 to $350 and can be purchased at www.nba.com/heat.
