Sticky-fingered friends are no good. They’ve stolen your best CDs over the years. But Treasure Fingers is a hand you probably wanna get familiar with. The disco-house DJ and producer is Atlanta-bred Ashley Jones. Appropriately signed to Fool’s Gold Records and working out of New York, he creates original tracks and remixes others for some of the industry’s leading dance-music makers. For instance, he has created new works of audio art from the sounds of Snowden and Mike Snow. And his butt-shaking hit “Cross the Dancefloor” was recently remixed by both Chromeo and Laidback Luke.
Jones has been making music for more than a decade, slinging beats around the globe, formerly with drum ’n’ bass group Evol Intent. His current sound is influenced by ’90s Chicago and French house, however, so leave your Jnco raver jeans at home. Stop by Grand Central to get a taste of sweet gold Saturday as part of Christmas in July. There will be free frosty margaritas till midnight. Other drink specials include an $8 stocking-stuffer PBR with a Jameson shot.
