TwinHaus, a Miami-based “experiential engineering agency,” was founded two months ago by Miamians Tara Long, 28, and Yamil Rodriguez, 30. The firm is curating the visual and performance components of III Points — a South by Southwest-style, multivenue music, art, and technology festival set to rattle the senses October 3 through 5 in Wynwood.
Long is a performance-based installation and video artist, and Rodriguez is a musician and installation artist. They have produced an impressive lineup of creative types to concoct the art that will enliven the music. The roster includes Ahol, Ana Mendez, Bhakti Baxter, Borscht, Brian Butler, Casey Zap, Chris Video, Dade Wear, David Lynch Foundation, Domingo Castillo, Jason Peterman (in collaboration with AV-8 Projects and Tecne Collective), Jillian Mayer, John Sevigny, Koreless, Lab Miami, Luis Pinto, Miami Spaces, Patricia Margarita Hernandez, Richard Vergez, Samantha Kruse, Santlov, Sleeper, So It Seems, Strangeways, Sum of Us Films, the TM Sisters, Tao Rey, Torie Zalben, and Typoe.
The main portion of the three-day event is being housed at Sound Stage @ Mana Wynwood, a massive, 100,000-square-foot warehouse compound that’s bigger than the Target store in midtown.
Last week, workers were busy building an eight-by-eight-foot wooden box on wheels in which attendees can spin around, and a 20-by-20-foot pop-up white cube that will be filled with art.

Long says she’s planning an indoor roller rink with the TM Sisters and an outdoor sound-performance piece with Spring Break’s Patti Hernandez on a sky bridge linking warehouses outside the space.
Other venues where artworks, lectures, and happenings will take place during the weekend include Gramps, Cafeina, the Butcher Shop, and the Wynwood Cigar Factory.
“We are going to have a bazaar, food, video projections, and installations and will be turning this entire place into a surreal art maze,” Long says.
