This is the question posed today by a Reuters wire story.
It says that three TV shows that are supposedly set in Miami — Dexter, Nip/Tuck and CSI Miami — all routinely film in Long Beach. So keep this in mind tonight when you’re watching Horatio Caine do his thing on CSI.
“The way the town is built, I can pretty much duplicate some of the feeling of South Beach in Long Beach,” said Don Tardino, a producer on CSI: Miami. OK, but what about those Southern California mountains?
Still, the writers of CSI try to embody the spirit of Miami’s wackiness. Tonight’s episode promises to solve the murder of a politician who supports eminent domain. —Tamara Lush
