This week’s South Beach Comedy Festival means a veritable who’s who of funny people will be invading the city with a slew of almost sold-out events. Well, our local comedians deserve some love too, and they’re taking the plunge by launching their first full-length DVD. The Miami Comics: Back in Miami should be a strong launching pad for these five funny men, who embody (and make jokes about) the Magic City’s ethnic diversity. If you’ve been to the Miami Improv, you’ve probably caught Ronnie Khalil, Adrian Mesa, Carl Rimi (above), Oni Perez, or Al Jackson warming up the crowd before the visiting headliners take the stage. Now these yuksters are ready for their own moment in the spotlight. Party with some of our homegrown best and brightest tonight.
