Just when you thought the season was over for the Florida Panthers, the Felines continue to amaze — and daze — their competitors on the ice. After a 4-3 shootout win in Boston on March 27, the Panthers were just six points away from eighth place and the final playoff spot. With Gary Roberts scoring his 100th career power-play goal and Olli Jokinen slapping in the game-clinching goal, the Cats extended their winning streak to six. This is the thrill we have been waiting for all season. It is never too late to jump on the bandwagon, so make plans to cheer on the Panthers as they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight at 7:30 or when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning for the last time this season at 5:00 Sunday (after which there are only two more regular-season home games, so don’t dally).
