Trend alert! Faux movie trailers. We’re hooked. Last week we pointed to SXSW’s film bumper Super Mario Bros., a Nintendo adaptation that looked like it was directed by Miranda July. This morning, we’ve spotted a movie trailer for Angry Birds the movie – if it were directed by Michael Bay.
Admittedly, this faux trailer thrills us less than Mario Bros. But then again, we can’t get through 15 seconds of the app without feeling totally out of sync with the rest of the smart-phone-using world. Why is the freaking game so popular? It makes sense that the director of Pearl Harbor and Armageddon would direct Angry Birds, because his movies make us doubt everyone’s taste as well. Click on for the trailer.
