Fast-paced, quick-witted, and gut-busting, Moon Over Buffalo tells the tale of traveling actor couple, George and Charlotte Hay. The twosome is performing Cyrano de Bergerac in a repertory theater in Buffalo, New York, where George is content with his thespian life. But Charlotte has bigger dreams and ambitions — to get to Hollywood and become a film star. One day George gets a call from legendary filmmaker Frank Capra about possibly having him and Charlotte star in a new movie he’s directing. He wants to travel to Buffalo to see George and Charlotte perform so he can decide whether to cast them. This would ordinarily be great news, if only Charlotte believed George’s story about Capra calling and George hadn’t complicated matters by knocking up another actress. Mistaken identity, slapstick comedy, and crazy pratfalls ensue in this Tony Award-winning comedy by Ken Ludwig.
