During the thirteenth annual Rasin Fest, guests at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater will celebrate Haitian roots music with the thumping tambour and soaring harmonies from bands like Boukman Eksperyans, Djakout Mizik, and Azor. And this year, attendees of the island fest are likely to hear the wail of electric guitars and the squeals of a mosh pit. Why? Because 93 Rock’s Christmas Khaos event will be simultaneously taking place within walking distance, at Bicentennial Park (1075 Biscayne Blvd., Miami), making for some fascinating people-watching along one of our city’s busiest thoroughfares. The hard-rockin’ holiday concert will feature Godsmack (pictured), Breaking Benjamin, Saliva, and Army of Anyone. Both events will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue well into the evening. Tickets for Rasin Fest cost $25, and more information is available at www.rasinfest.com. Tickets for Christmas Khaos cost $29.75 and are available at www.93rock.com.
