The Soultech folks will be celebrating their one – year anniversary this Wednesday night at Skybar with a special performance by Argy. Greek-born Argyris Theofilis was born only in 1985, if you can believe it — pretty much around the same time that his precursors were pioneering the first sounds of house and techno. Yet this young prodigy has already made a name for himself as an innovative and versatile producer with a rigorous work ethic and extensive output on top labels such as Pokerflat and Defected.
Argy is known for his eclectic and imaginative DJ sets that seamlessly blend everything from Detroit techno and minimal to classic disco tracks, the only constant being his penchant for the more soulful stuff, which should make him right at home with Soultech. Check him out on Wednesday night, along with resident DJ Andres Amadeus.
