This weekend, you’ll have the chance to shoot everyone on South Beach. Slow down, NRA members — we’re not talking to you, but to all the shutterbugs out there. This Sunday marks the seventh annual South Beach Photomarathon, where folks are invited to scour the streets for compelling visuals and compete for prizes. Beginning at 11 a.m., you’ll have five hours to shoot two photos in six categories (last year, the categories were Expensive, Exciting, Black-and-White, Sexy, Forbidden, and Abstract). During signup at Miami Beach Botanical Garden, you’ll learn the first two categories, but you must visit stations later in the afternoon for the four others. Images will be judged on composition as well as creativity, so don’t be boring. Prizes include $1,000 in cash, plexi prints of your photos, Starbucks gift bags, and exhibit opportunities at Tropicolor Gallery.
