One, two, Freddy’s coming for you. Three, four, better lock your door…. If that misappropriated nursery rhyme sends chills down your spine, then you remember A Nightmare on Elm Street, the horror film that launched a million sleepless nights (and shone a light on a delicious new actor named Johnny Depp) back in 1984. Twenty-two years, six sequels, and one DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince song later, Freddy Krueger continues to scare viewers with his molten skin and razor-sharp fingernails. Robert Englund infused irreverent humor into the villainous character, and the writing and direction is Wes Craven at his best. To celebrate the special-edition-DVD release, A Nightmare on Elm Street will return to the big screen (with bonus features!) for two nights only. Horror fanatics should head out to Regal South Beach Cinema 18 tonight at 8:00. Tickets cost ten dollars. Visit www.bigscreenboxoffice.com.
