The original run of “The Toners LIVE!”, the debut show of the theatre group foryoucansee, sold out its initial three-day run at the New Theatre this past June 26-28, so the show’s back this weekend.
A self-described hybrid party-play-concert, “The Toners LIVE!” follows the adventures of a Reggaeton group who gets sent back to the year 2002 in order to change the course of musical history. Sound preposterous? That’s the point, dude. It’s a comedy, and one that has a few “can’t miss” aspects to it:
1. Free Jupiña and rum cocktails if you show up at 7 p.m. instead of 8 p.m.
2. Music courtesy of Afrobeta’s DJ Smurphio.
