Steel yourselves, Dolfans: The men in silver and black are coming to the Magic City. A steadily rebuilding Oakland Raiders football team closes out the first month of the Miami Dolphins schedule today. When the Raiders visit Dolphin Stadium, hometown fans will see a familiar face on the opposing sideline as former Fins quarterback Daunte Culpepper returns to South Florida. Culpepper was supposed to be the long-term answer at quarterback for Miami but had his 2006 season cut short because of injury, and this off-season the Dolphins decided to go in a different direction behind center.
The Fins will be trying to get their running back combination of Ronnie Brown and Jesse Chatman jumpstarted so they can keep an aggressive Raiders defense off-balance. Come cheer on our guys as they look to finish September on a winning note, at 1:00 p.m.
