Maybe you prefer poolside recreation, but there’s nothing like a dip in the ocean. Floating alongside condoms, cigarettes, and pocket-size Grey Goose bottles is an experience you won’t find at any infinity pool. If you don’t want used diapers washing up on the shore near your sandcastle, lend a hand at the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project. The purveyors of fermented grapes and delish champers encourage you to join them at the 52nd Street sand dunes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to collect man-made debris so that our coastlines stay “barefoot-friendly” (plug, plug, plug). You’ll feel good about helping the community, but we know you’re just there for the afterparty. Gather with the crew at the Quicksilver Surf Shop post-sand-scrub (8 to 10 p.m.) for surf-inspired grub and, of course, Barefoot Wine.
