$30,000

Urban Outfitters, American Eagle Outfitters Reportedly Opening on Lincoln Road

Zara will take up 26,000 of 420 Lincoln Road’s 275,000 square feet of space to install a flagship store, set to open in the winter of 2013. (A Zara representative told us last month that the store was scheduled to open in the fall, but that an official date had not yet been determined.) The building will rise two stories above the intersection of Lincoln Road and Washington Avenue, and be anchored by a rounded glass entrance stretching the full height of its second floor.

Miami architect Allan Schulman had a hand in designing the space. No word yet on specifics of what the flagship Zara will be selling, other than “men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing and accessories.”

On the upside, at least this new store is a flagship. If Lincoln Road’s going to turn itself into a suburban shopping mall, it might as well be the best suburban shopping mall there is.
