As we count down to New Times’ Best of Miami 2011 in June, Short Order will serve up 100 of our favorite dishes in the 305 in random order. If you have any nominations of your own, please send them to cafe@miaminewtimes.com. After the jump, find our other choices.
The plate comes straight from the kitchen, the still bubbling bourbon sauce molten hot. You want to dig in, but wait for the vanilla ice cream to cool off the still-sizzling sweet bourbon, turning it creamy. The pudding itself is made from the same French bread Joe Allen serves at dinner, formed into meatloaf pans and baked until carmelized around the edges. The price for this bit of Big Easy heaven? $8. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
