It’s that time of year again when we count down to New Times’Best of Miami 2012 issue in June. Until then, Short Order will serve up 100 of our favorite dishes in the 305. If you have any nominations of your own, please send them to cafe@miaminewtimes.com.
97. Serrano Ham Croquettes at Crazy About You
These sumptuous cylinders of serrano-studded potato croquettes are a signature item at Crazy About You, as well as at its coy sister Dolores, But You Can Call Me Lolita. You can find croquettes all over town, and you can find really good croquettes all over town, and you can find great croquettes, like these, at other places too. But you won’t get them any cheaper (free if you choose it as your appetizer with any main course — it’s a prix fixe deal here), and you probably can’t find a swanker environment to eat them in.
Crazy About You is in the Mark Building on Brickell Bay Drive — sleek! House wine is $14 per bottle in case you want to have the croquettes like they do in Spain.
