About 80 people gathered at Bee Heaven Farm bright and early Saturday morning for a bike tour of four Redland farms. The jaunt was organized by Slow Food Miami.

First on the tour was Fancy Koi farm, followed by Going Bananas, Teena’s Pride, and Bee Heaven Farm. The 7.5-mile ride didn’t seem so bad knowing we would be rewarded with food. Chefs Kris Wessel of Red Light and Kira Volz of Creek28 were in charge of feeding the hungry bikers, who enjoyed dishes such as Wessel’s smoked ribs, Volz’s shrimp fatoush, key lime pie, and strawberry shortcake outside on a windy yet beautiful South Florida day.

Here’s the day in pictures.
