Wynwood is getting a new restaurant (hopefully) in time for Art Basel madness.
The Lunchbox, a new “neo-traditional” spot is opening some time in late November/early December at 78 NW 25th Street. Currently, the restaurant is in the construction phase.
The man behind the restaurant, which will feature “traditional European recipes influenced by modern thinking in a fast casual atmosphere,” is Carlos Dorado of Arepabox food truck in Miami. Dorado, who launched Arepabox with partners Elizabeth Pineiro and Pedro Rodriguez in 2011, put the food truck on the market this past summer.
Now, the chef is working on a menu that features fresh, seasonal ingredients with meals prepared in-house daily.

Although a menu hasn’t been set, we were sent pictures of what looks to be a killer shrimp dish. Stay tuned to Short Order for more info. You can also sign up for the restaurant’s newsletter at thelunchboxcuisine.com.
