Fashion maven Roberto Cavalli is best known for his exotic prints and curve-hugging jeans, but the Florentine designer is also a restaurateur with restaurant/clubs in Milan and Dubai. Both locations offer glittering, Studio 54-esque experiences, Italian cuisine, and celebrity appearances by the likes of Mike Tyson and Paris Hilton.
Miami Beach will be the next shiny city to get a fashion makeover when Cavalli Restaurant & Lounge opens at the former DeVito South Beach space at 150 Ocean Dr.
According to Cavalli’s website, the restaurant/lounge is scheduled to open this fall, but a recent drive-by showed a construction site surrounded by a chain link fence:
When it does open, Cavalli Restaurant & Lounge will feature traditional Italian cuisine “infused with Tuscan influences, as well as innovative new style dishes.”

The bi-level restaurant and lounge will “reflect the Cavalli signature beacons of excellence: fashion — food — design, and will offer the ultimate in luxury and sophisticated exclusivity.” And will, most likely, provide Paris Hilton sightings.
