Don’t let the scale of the two-story lavender house with the striped black-and-white awnings and large wrap-around terrace fool you. Inside Morgans, you’ll find only a small dining room that makes a statement with concrete floors, light wood tables and white Eames-style chairs.
White is the thread that pulls the room together and gives it a pleasant brightness. An all-white bar completes the room’s industrial chic look and a floor-to-ceiling mirror on one end of the room makes it appear larger.
Soon, though, the dining space will get bigger. On August 1, Morgans will open the second floor to diners and while Short Order hasn’t seen the space, we hear it has four different rooms, two of which will have family tables for private dining. The other two will have white banquettes throughout.
