Ahmet Karaca is the Happy Greek. One reason for his glee is that he’s got a new set of wheels (called Chef on 4 Wheels) from which tonight, at the once-again-newly-located  Biscayne Truck Triangle Roundup (127th and Biscayne Blvd.), he’ll be serving “gyros with warm pita bread stuffed with lettuce, white onions, and homemade white sauce.” He’ll also be dishing “hummus, tzatziki, kibbeh, falafel, and special Greek-style fries.” Plus lamb kebabs, “marinated at least 8 to 12 days in our special homemade sauce made from extra virgin olive oil, pepper paste from Greece, seven different spices and our secret herbs.”

Everything will be $10 and under — the hummus, tzatziki, fries-type foods range $3 to $4.

“All of my family are chefs,” says Ahmet. “Cooking is our family soul.” He lived in Columbus, Ohio, for four-and-a-half years and “operated three upscale restaurants there.” Then he “decided to do something different than my family experience.”

That something different is a less formal Chef On 4 Wheels, which rolls out tonight at BTTR, Biscayne Boulevard and 127th Avenue, between 5:30 and 10:30 pm. If nothing else, stop by for some Greek salad, which should seem more than refreshing between all the burgers and fried stuff.
